In July the remaining wards of the 11.000m2 facility were delivered after a seven-year renovation, thus realising the total transformation of the hospital. These departments included the Parade, a central meeting area for patients, visitors and family; General Services, comprising the cinema, theatre, gym, instruction class room, rehabilitation space, library and restaurant, as well as the Psychology Department.  

The new, state-of-the-art Welcome Centre ushers Stowe into the new millennium with modern and accessible style.  

Last Friday the permanent exhibition 'Portret of Alkmaar' opened in the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar. The exhibition reveals the DNA of the city, full of history and beautiful old architecture. Portrait of Alkmaar paints a mosaic with stories as told by its inhabitants and a variety of unique objects and paintings.

This summer the Mauritshuis will unveil the newly restored and extensively examined painting Saul and David by Rembrandt. After years of doubt Mauritshuis decided to finally put the question to rest whether the painting 'Saul and David' is a genuine Rembrandt. Using the most advanced equipment and research methods the work has been seen like never before. The exhibition gives visitors the chance to view the behind the scenes work leading to the fascinating discoveries about the origins, history and attribution of the painting. OPERA worked on the exhibition design to help facilitate the telling of this exciting find.

OPERA just started the design of Jheronimus Bosch - Visions of a genius. In 2016 it will be exactly 500 years ago since Hieronymus Bosch died. Den Bosch, the city where he lived and produced his masterpieces, will honour him with a comprehensive international exhibition at the Het Noordbrabants Museum. During this unique exhibition a broad overview of his paintings and drawings will be presented, along a considerable number of other extraordinary works of art and objects from Bosch's time. The exhibition will offer a feel of the context in which Bosch lived and worked. The exhibition is on show from February 2016 and OPERA was asked to work on both the spatial and the graphic design.

The Fries Museum wins the Dutch Museum Prize 2015! After a public election the museum received 40.1% of the votes. Other nominees were the Zeeuws Museum (32.3%) and the Amsterdam Museum (27.6%).

Fries Museum was selected as one of three contenders by a panel of museum experts. According to the panel, "The Fries Museum succeeds in bringing the Frisian identity to a wide audience in a powerful manner. The collection is presented in an innovative and unique way by combining familiar and lesser-known stories, through a strong mix of permanent, aesthetic and narrative presentation formats and optimal blending of art and history".

Tomorrow mayor Aboutaleb of Rotterdam and Ton Heerts of the vfonds will open Museum Rotterdam '40-'45 NU. The former OorlogsVerzetsMuseum developed a new permanent installation that focuses on the bombardment of Rotterdam 75 years ago. Along the installation are stories and objects about personal, military and political life during the years of war.
OPERA designed all spatial and graphic elements for the exhibition, educational spaces and entrance area. OPERA worked on the project together with Studio Louter and Tinker Imagineers.

The Fries Museum is nominated for the Dutch Museum Prize 2015. Annually a museum is selected based on a different category. This year the Museum Prize will be awarded to a historical regional or city museum, ''that presents the regional or city history in an unexpected and exciting way to a broad audience.''

Tonight 'De Wereld Draait Door' opens 'DWDD Pop-Up Museum' in the center of Amsterdam. For this temporary exhibition ten regular TV guests were invited to choose works from the depots of ten major Dutch museums. OPERA worked on the design of this very diverse exhibition.
