Museum TwentseWelle is nominated for 2010 EUROPEAN MUSEUM OF THE YEAR AWARD. This award will be revealed at the EMYA Ceremony held on 22 May in Tampere, Finland. The aim of the prize is to encourage the contribution of museums to a greater understanding of the rich diversity of European Culture. The prize is determined by the Parliamentary Assembly's Committee on Culture, Science and Education on the basis of recommendations made by the  European Museum Forum.

On October 26th Frans Bevers is scheduled to participate in a mini symposium commissioned by the Reinwardt Academy in collaboration with the Academy of Architecture. The symposium is organized for the students of the Exhibition Direction Minor, the Museology Master and their professors. Frans Bevers will participate in this symposium along with 5 other speakers. All participants will make a statement on the concepts 'design', 'form' and 'content'. The students have been invited to join a panel discussion to state their ideas on the subject afterwards.
